A school shall notify the <strong>Commission</strong> in writing of any legal action described in this section no<br />

later than five business days after the action is known to be filed or the school, owner,<br />

representative, or management employee is served.<br />

A school shall include, with the notice required in this section, a file-marked copy of the petition,<br />

complaint, or other legal instrument, including copies of any judgments.<br />

§807.16. Associate Degrees<br />

If a school desires authorization to grant associate degrees, the school shall make application to<br />

the Coordinating Board.<br />

The <strong>Commission</strong> may recognize the authorization to grant degrees upon receipt of a copy of the<br />

letter of authorization issued by the Coordinating Board.<br />

§807.17. Penalties and Sanctions Regarding Schools<br />

The <strong>Commission</strong> may impose penalties or sanctions for violations of the Act or this chapter, including:<br />

(1) collecting a late renewal fee from the school;<br />

(2) denying the school's application for a certificate of approval;<br />

(3) revoking the school's certificate of approval;<br />

(4) placing restrictions on the school's certificate of approval;<br />

(5) denying, suspending, or revoking the registration of the school's representatives;<br />

(6) collecting a late refund penalty from the school;<br />

(7) assessing an administrative penalty;<br />

(8) applying for an injunction against the school;<br />

(9) asking the Attorney General to collect a civil penalty from any person who violates the Act<br />

or this chapter;<br />

(10) ordering a peer review of the school;<br />

(11) revoking a program approval;<br />
