Requirements for<br />

New Schools<br />

When new schools submit the initial Application for<br />

Certificate of Approval, they are not charged a fee for<br />

program applications. They must submit form PS-302, New<br />

Program Application, for each of the programs they wish to<br />

offer (see Appendix 28).<br />

Note: Each request for new program approval must be<br />

on a separate form PS-302.<br />

§132.055(q)<br />

After a school receives a license to operate from the <strong>Texas</strong><br />

<strong>Workforce</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> (TWC), the school is required to<br />

pay a fee with each new program application submitted.<br />

For each addition to the existing school’s list of approved<br />

courses, the school must include the following items:<br />

• Pages 4 and 8 of the form PS-302, New Program<br />

Application (see Appendix 28)<br />

Page 4 — Cover Sheet<br />

Page 8 — Occupational Expert Support for Program.<br />

• additional attachments as listed on the PS-302 (see the<br />

following page)<br />

• Form PS-042R, Summary of Changes Residence<br />

Schools (see Appendix 18)<br />

• Form PS-186, Fee Sheet (see Appendix 26)<br />

• required application fee (presently $225.00).<br />

Note: New programs may require new instructors. The<br />

school must submit pages 1-4 of form PS-002, signed<br />

by the proposed instructor and school official, with the<br />

required fee (see Appendix 5).<br />
