Efroymson Diversity Center facilities include a multi-purpose lounge area equipped with study tables,<br />
reception area and a flat-screen television and entertainment center with a comfortable viewing area; multicultural<br />
resource library and gallery, kitchen, prep room and storage space. The center has wireless access and<br />
cable television and is equipped with computer terminals for student usage.<br />
Programs and services coordinated through the Efroymson Diversity Center or “The D.C.” include<br />

• Multicultural and international student organization advisement<br />
• Diversity education programs/Celebration of Diversity<br />
• Academic, career and personal development programs and activities<br />
• Leadership development and volunteerism programs and activities<br />

• The Efroymson Diversity Center hours of operation during the academic year are Monday-<br />
Thursday, 9 a.m.–10 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. The center is closed on weekends except for special<br />
events. Summer hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.–5:00 p.m.<br />
DVD Rental Kiosk<br />
New release movies are available for rent or purchase in the DVD kiosk located in the C-Club. The kiosk is<br />
available 24/7; it accepts credit cards only. Questions about the kiosk can be directed to the Office of the Vice<br />
President for <strong>Student</strong> Affairs in Atherton 200.<br />
Emergency Telephone System<br />
There are 25 emergency phones located throughout the campus as well as in all campus building elevators.<br />
Activating a phone by pushing the red button connects the caller directly to the <strong>University</strong> police dispatch<br />
office.<br />
Escort Program<br />
BUPD offers escorts from dusk to dawn, 365 days a year, to individuals who need to go from one campus<br />
location to another. To arrange for an escort, call 940-9396. Specify to the dispatcher where you are,<br />
where you will be waiting and your destination. If calling from inside a building, wait inside, but check periodically<br />
for the car or officer. Escorts may be provided by foot or vehicle.<br />

<strong>Butler</strong> <strong>University</strong> is committed to providing students and parents with a variety of options to assist with<br />
their educational expenses. An offer of financial aid may include need-based grants or merit scholarships,<br />
student loans and student employment opportunities from federal, state and <strong>University</strong> programs for which<br />
the student qualifies:.<br />
Financial aid counselors are available for appointments and phone counseling, Monday through Friday<br />
from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Appointments are advised but not necessary. Walk-ins are seen on a first-come, firstserved<br />
basis after appointments. Often many questions and concerns can be handled over the phone. The<br />

Full time undergraduate students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree may apply for federal, state and<br />
institutional aid by completing a Free Application for Federal <strong>Student</strong> Aid (FAFSA). To receive priority consideration<br />
and meet the Indiana state grant deadline, the FAFSA must be completed in full and submitted<br />
by March 1 each year, the financial aid file must be complete by May 1 and returning students must be en-<br />
