Food & Drinks Food and Drinks ~ Eating in the campus --- Emily and Amy It is not difficult to buy different kinds of food at 21 locations around the campus, including restaurant, cafe, espresso bar, convenience store, etc… You can pay your bills with cash or in some of these locations, you can simply make your payment with your Husky card (Student ID with meal account). During the three weeks studying in UW, we had lots of chances to eat around the campus and we had some discoveries in this topic – Food and Drinks. We would like to talk about them one by one as follow. 1) Dinning time There is not much different between Seattle and Hong Kong for breakfast, lunch and tea hours. You can enjoy large varieties of food from seven o’clock in the morning to half past five in the afternoon at different locations. However, if you used to have dinner after seven at night or even later, you will feel quite inconvenient in UW. There is only one café, Terry/Lander Cafeteria, keeps open after half past five in the afternoon. And don’t forget to go there before seven o’clock or you have to eat outside the campus or serve yourself with instant noodles, biscuits or snacks of that kind. For us, it was not usually comfortable to have dinner so early. If we went out for exploration in the afternoon, we might have to rush back to school for the meal. What is more is that sun doesn’t go down before ten o’clock at night. We sometimes missed the dining time as we didn’t notice that it was already late in evening.
