Just before our dinner, we guys from Hong Kong including Eric, Gordon and me
played a basketball match with guys from Taiwan. They were in the same programme
as us. We played 3-on-3 on the basketball court. There were “fans” from both Hong
Kong and Taiwan sitting just beside the court. They were girls also in the same
programme. They acted as cheering teams and helped taking photos of us. When there
was someone shooting a ball in a basket, they screamed and crapped their hands. This
made the match really like a professional match! (Just kidding!)
During the dinner, we ate a lot as we had lost a lot of calories on that day. We
enjoyed the food as it was really tasty and attractive, especially the blue cherry cake
as our desserts. I love eating desserts very much!
The most disgusting thing, however, was that there were many flies and
mosquitoes in our room where Gordon, Eric and I stayed over night. We could not
sleep until killed two flies and two mosquitoes with slippers. They were hit to death
with their bodies’ inside stuff squeezed out. After that, we slept comfortably till the
following morning. (Sorry for the terrible description above. But it deserves mention)
On the following day, we got on a charter bus and went to Mountain Rainier. It
is a snow mountain and I was excited as it was my first time to see and feel snow in
person.
When we reached the mountain, my attention was immediately drawn by the
white hill. I took a photo with the mountain acted as my background immediately
when I got off from the bus. It was pretty interesting because we didn’t have to wear
thick clothes to climb up the snow mountain. What we did is just to wear a cap or hat
and a pair of sunglasses. Just a tee was good enough to keep our body warm. This is
interesting!
The funniest time was that we slid over snow down a small slope. It was a new
experience to me and I couldn’t forget the fantastic feeling of speed when sliding
down the slope. What a good experience!
