After joining this course, I learned a lot. This is my first time going to US. The
scenery in Seattle is really beautiful and the weather is nice. It’s like autumn in Hong
Kong, the sun was always shining brightly, I like this place very much. About the
English course, I have met many foreign people. They are very nice. I am happy that
we became friends in this course. We still keep in contact. Another benefit is that I
knew more about the culture of US. Life in US is totally different from what in Hong
Kong, as I have no parents staying with us, we have to solve different problems by
ourselves. For example, we have to find out the route of going to a place by ourselves.
There was some culture shock to me too. I was so surprised that in the dome, girls and
boys are living in the same floor. Sometimes, I saw some boys walking around only
with a towel. Besides, they are green. Even the students have the sense of
environmental protection. They use different bins for recycling. I think the method of
learning good English is going to a totally English-speaking environment for at least a
year. So I think the 3 weeks course is too short for learning English. I want to stay for
longer time as once I got familiar with the life in US, I had to leave. I hope that in the
near future I will have another chance going to Seattle.

It is really a great experience to go to the USA. I knew a lot of American culture
and went to a lot of places in Seattle. We went to the Mountain Rainier. It is the first
time I went to a Snowy Mountain and see the snow.
All of us had a good time together. We help each other and enjoy others
company, especially when a few of us were hurt and had accidents. I was hit by a bus
in Seattle. It was lucky that some of them were there and help me. They accompany
me to the hospital and waited me to have the x-ray check. I am really grateful for their
concern and time. My classmates even made a card for me. I was really impressed.
People in Seattle are really nice though. We did an opinion poll and all the
people were willing to answer our questions. They were very kind and gentle. Our
