Seattle is a really lovely place. The sunshine is warm, the sky is beautiful, and
the people are very nice. I enjoy these three weeks very much. Not only because of
the courses and the places we visited, but of course, because I had spent a wonderful
time with all the other colleagues from Chung Chi!
“A Wonderful Trip”
The first day when I arrived in the University of Washington, I didn’t like there
very much. It was because it was raining and all of us needed to open an umbrella.
That made us so many troubles as all of us were carrying a lot of luggage. When I
went to my room in the Mercer Hall, I found out that I didn’t have a roommate. I felt
so sad that the school didn’t assign a roommate for me. Also, the smell inside my
room was not very good. It might because there has been a long time no one occupied
the room. All of the above things made me very sad at the first when I arrived in
brightly over head almost everyday. There was no rain within the whole period when
we were staying there. My skin was even burnt by the sun. Ha! Our teacher (Cindy)
was very nice. We went to visit the campus with her at the second. I really liked the
campus, especially the classical buildings in there. They had about 150-year history.
So, they were very different from the buildings in The Chinese University of Hong
Kong. The class was very useful and relaxing as it didn’t has so many workloads.
We have a lot of outdoor activities with the teachers during afternoon. The most
wonderful day for me was the trip went to the Mountain Rainier. At first, I couldn’t
believe that was true as the sun was shining overhead but the mountain was covered
by snow. We can never see snow in Hong Kong. So, we laughed and shouted loudly
on the mountain. As we were not used to step on the snow, we fell down very often.
But we caught up quickly as other classmates gave others a hand when some one was
in trouble. We even “skied” without any tool on the mountain (just sat on the higher
slope and then slide down). That was very funny since we never try it. At the end, all
