12.3.3.2.17. Where Export units are involved, the loading sequence must be<br />

agreed and planned accordingly;<br />

12.3.3.2.18. The number of drivers, leadsman and flagmen (quayside/terminal)<br />

must be allocated by Durban Ro-Ro in conjunction with the Line for<br />

the discharge and load operations;<br />

12.3.3.2.19. The number of lanes required must be determined and allocated<br />

according to availability;<br />

12.3.3.2.20. All equipment requirements must be determined;<br />

12.3.3.2.21. The Shift Roster inclusive of contact details must be determined and<br />

communicated;<br />

12.3.3.2.22. The condition of cargo must be confirmed and recorded by both<br />

TPT and the vessel;<br />

12.3.3.2.23. Only cargo which has valid shipping and/or transhipment orders in<br />

place will be included in the Export consignment list for export.<br />

12.3.3.3. Berth allocation is subject to the following practices:<br />

12.3.3.3.1. If there is any cross haulage of cargo, the costs for the cross<br />

haulage of High, Heavy and Static cargo is for the account of the<br />

party who requested that the vessel berth at a berth other one<br />

defined as a Durban Ro-Ro berth.<br />

12.3.3.3.2. The Chief Logistics Manager (CLM) or his representative responsible<br />

for all planning activities may redeploy lanes and/or resources <strong>from</strong><br />

an unproductive vessel in his/her sole discretion.<br />

12.3.3.4. Cargo Availability<br />

12.3.3.4.1. Import and export cargo will be planned in accordance with the<br />

terminal capacity so as not to impede any other planned vessel.<br />

12.3.4. Transhipment Cargo<br />

12.3.4.1. Durban Ro-Ro must be notified by the Pre-Carrier shipping line or its<br />

nominated representative of transhipment cargo, inclusive of type and<br />

dimensions, five (5) days prior to the original ETA of the vessel concerned.<br />

Lines carrying transhipment cargo to final destination must include the<br />

cargo details thereof on the booking list.<br />
