Shoreline functions within Segment D (Saltwater State Park) have been impacted by the<br />

following activities:<br />

• Shoreline armoring (includes mouth of McSorley Creek);<br />

• Removal of marine riparian vegetation; and<br />

• Increased impervious surface within the McSorley basin.<br />

Effects upon the nearshore environment include:<br />

• Sediment supply to nearshore areas from upland areas is cut off by riprap armoring;<br />
