in glazing safety, approximately<br />

2,500 panes of toughened<br />

glass weighing between 104 and<br />

157kg each have been treated with<br />

the system as a safety precaution<br />

to unpredictable glass failure. As<br />

principal contractor, Pentagon<br />

Filmtek’s expertise has included<br />

the organisation and carrying out of<br />

everything from access, replacement<br />

of glass where necessary and<br />

application of the FT800 glass containment<br />

film and bolted anchoring<br />

system without the disruption and<br />

Association of Great Britain has asked to<br />

become involved too.<br />

BICSc Top Guns will address the first meeting.<br />

Keith Aldis, Chief Executive and Robert Young,<br />

Chairman will be there to start the Region off in<br />

style.<br />

Region’s members asking how the branch can<br />

Lorraine leads new<br />

BICSc initiative<br />

During the year one meeting will be held in each<br />

sector- North, South, East and West London.<br />

Already some activities and events <strong>are</strong> planned<br />

which include:<br />

• January 06- Study Day at West Ham FC<br />

ground where Bunzl and Victor have<br />

promised there support and hopefully there<br />

will be free gifts to every attendee<br />

• June 06- First Annual Golf Day at Upminster<br />

which is already sponsored by LCC Support<br />

Services and the LCC Cup<br />

• October- AGM - venue to be announced<br />

Other meetings will be organised when a full<br />

committee is formed. Lorraine will welcome<br />

volunteers to assist her with planning etc. John<br />

Meritt of Jangro Cleaning Supplies and Dennis<br />

Cross from Mowlem Pall Mall have offered their<br />

services.<br />

LCC has made its board room available for committee<br />

meetings. Lorraine is now looking for<br />

more corporate sponsors - firms that will lend<br />

premises for meetings, give goodies to attendees,<br />

provide cups and trophies etc.<br />
