The area is filled with metallic trash which hindered the diver’s ability to pinpoint the original anomaly. There is a clear depression in the lake bottom. This location is in the approach to the Syracuse Inner Harbor, and is likely a place where navigation aids would be placed. It is very likely that the bottom depression was caused by a mooring from a former navigational marker. The metallic signature is likely from debris associated with the marker. Recommendations LCMM recommends no further work for A80. 149
