Resident Ambassadors also identify community needs and assist with SAHA‟s efforts to
address community impediments. Resident Ambassadors also help create healthy
sustainable neighborhoods, thereby improving the quality of life for residents as well as
surrounding communities.
MTW Working Group:
The MTW Working Group is comprised of SAHA leadership representatives from all
departments. The MTW working group meets frequently to discuss innovative ideas
and strategies that could enhance the agency‟s MTW demonstration, as well as address
streamlining methods to increase program efficiencies.
Stakeholder Meeting:
On January 19, 2011, SAHA held a meeting for its community organizations and
agencies. During this meeting stakeholders expressed their feedback and made
recommendations concerning the agency‟s plan changes.
Public Hearing:
A public hearing was held on January 4, 2011 to discuss proposed MTW amendments,
addressing the conversion of public housing units to project-based vouchers.
Recommendations and feedback were voiced, as well as positive comments regarding
SAHA‟s MTW demonstrations.
