[Moving-to-Work 2011-20<strong>12</strong> Annual <strong>Plan</strong>]<br />
housing opportunities, increasing the number of families assisted, and creating<br />
partnerships with support service providers.<br />
Current and upcoming initiatives are as follows:<br />
400 housing choice vouchers were allocated for the Homeless Services Voucher<br />
program which provides housing assistance to homeless families. This is a<br />
referral based program in partnership with the City of San Antonio (CoSA) and<br />
case management services are provided by Haven for Hope (H4H).<br />
200 housing choice vouchers will be allocated for the creation of the Set Aside<br />
Homeless Voucher program and a competitive award will be made for a support<br />
service provider(s).<br />
Project-Based Voucher (PBV) commitments are planned for approximately 677<br />
units at SAHA owned developments to promote financial and social stability, and<br />
increase housing choices.<br />

Transition the Single Room Occupancy (SRO) Moderate Rehabilitation program<br />
to a new site. This program will serve up to 88 homeless individuals and will be<br />
in partnership with CoSA, H4H, and SAMMinistries.<br />
Increase the number of families participating in the Family Self Sufficiency (FSS)<br />
program and further enhance case management services.<br />
Further explore permanent supportive housing options to assist in meeting the<br />
housing needs of special populations.<br />
Continue the streamlined methods of verification process in efforts to further<br />
reduce the completion time of a participant‟s annual and/or interim<br />
recertification(s).<br />
Implement a biennial recertification process for elderly/disabled participants that<br />
are on a fixed-income.<br />
