Effectiveness of Care Treatment: Completion of Substance Abuse Treatment Completion of substance abuse treatment is strongly associated with improved outcomes, such as long-term abstinence from substance use. Dropout from treatment often leads to relapse and return to substance use. Figure 2.34.
