2UDO Chronic feeding tests have been carried out on rats over a period of 2 years at a dietary level of 1,000 ppm and on dogs for 1 year at a level of 30,000 ppm. Throughout the study, the general health was not significantly different from that of the controls. At these levels microscopic examination of the tissues revealed no abnormality attributable to the feeding of Melamine. [4].
