What about Apple´s iPhone?
Again and again announced, however unfortunately still
not on the market - Apple demands it´s fan-group long
waiting for the announced mobile phone named
iPhone, developed in co-operation with Motorola. Any
reason? Probably pure economic interests, those of
mobile providers. They are not happy with the idea of
downloading songs to the phone by cable – they
want to share this business and be part of it. They
would love an iTunes Musicstore handy file, but
who would like to pay 99 cents per song with
iTunes plus the charges downloading to the
portable.
However Apple need the portable providers
on their side. Who would buy an expensive,
not subsidized mobil phone
only because it can play songs
from iTune Store? We hope for
a solution, new design approaches
would surely do no
harm to the providers market.

dem Markt - Apple lässt seine Fangemeinde lang auf
das angekündigte Handy namens iPhones, in
Kooperation mit Motorola entwickelt, warten.
Woran liegt es? Vermutlich ganz banal an wirtschaftlichen
Interessen, derer von
Mobilfunkanbietern. Die finden die Idee,
sich einfach per Kabel Lieder aufs Telefon
zu speichern, überhaupt nicht toll - sie
wollen Teil des Geschäfts sein. Ein iTunes
Musicstore auf dem Handy würde ihnen
gefallen, doch welcher Kunde würde die 99
Cent pro Song bei iTunes und auch noch die
Kosten des Handydownloads bezahlen? Apple
braucht die Mobilfunkanbieter aber auf seiner
Seite. Wer kauft schon ein teures, unsubventioniertes
Handy, nur weil dieses Songs aus dem iTunes
Store abspielen kann? Hoffen wir auf eine Lösung,
neue Designanstöße würden dem Mobilfunkmarkt
