As the label’s name promises:
Progressive Trance, nice - but harmless.
The Antix remix on the flip side is
much more interesting, with its deepness
and some housy touches in the
end – DJ’s should check this.
Wieder mal gibt es eine 001 für die
Sammler, auf Very Progressive
Records erscheint als erstes Vinyl
»Farscabe« von Fitalic. Hier ist der
Labelname wirklich mal aufschlussreich,
was drauf steht, ist auch drin.
Das Original ist eine bei 128 bpm
groovende Progressive Trance
Nummer, zwar ordentlich, aber insgesamt
etwas unspektakulär. Die B-Seite
kommt im Antix Remix viel deeper,
dubbiger, mit mehr Tiefe und Groove
und nach dem ersten Drittel mit einer
Prise Progressive House sehr empfehlenswert
für DJs daher. (Tulla)
Antichic vs. Popped!

Check out Antichic and Popped! from
Munich with their new track »White
Lines« in original and remix. The original
already impressed some second
floors with its sexy vocal sample and
classic acid line this winter. The remix
supplied by Acrid Abeyance aka.
Jurgen Driessen and Plank is ideal for
that early morning in the club with
funky rolling bass lines and vocals,
turning truly acid after the break. DJ’s
should seriously check this out!
Antichic und Popped! aus München
sind schon auf Yanivs letzter »Dirty
Floor Fillers«-Compilation aufgefallen.
Hier gibt’s nun deren Track »White
Lines« im Original und Remix. Das
Original war in diesem Winter schon
zu hören und begeisterte manch
zweiten Floor mit seinem sexy/schlüpfrigen
Vocal-Sample und einer klassischen
Acidline. Dem Remix haben
nun Acrid Abeyance aka. Jürgen
Driessen und Plank spendiert, ideal
für den frühen Morgen im Club mit
funky rollender Bassline und Vocal,
nach dem Break wird es noch richtig
klassisch säurehaltig. DJs sollten das

With his latest compilation »Dustynation
2« DJ Asher from Kiryat Ata has shown
perfection in doing the nearly unpossible
thing: to launch real progressive trance on
an Israeli label. With his first E.P. he again
presents a maximum progressive act from
Scandinavia: Threshold Productions serve
a triple of finest funky trance in housy
speeds between 125 and 132 beats. With
this E.P. you will get an extraordinary flight
ticket into the sense of progressive trance.
Have a look for this vinyl even if you only
play CD’s, it's a treasure.

Geschwindigkeit. Die 125 bis 132 Beats
definieren vorzüglich die Bedeutung von

»Stereo Activity«
V.A. (Agitato Records) CD
Sweet, straight full-on tracks with some
small proggy influences. The two tracks I
liked most are from Toasted and Space
Monkey, but I think everyone will find
something on this compilation. Some
guitars in soft intros with heavy beat breaks
also as hard Full On sliding into your
brain.
Schöne, ruhige Full-On-Tracks, gepaart mit
sehr kleinen proggy Zwischenspielen. Mir
gefielen dabei eindeutig Toast3d und
Space Monkey am besten, allerdings wird
wohl fast für jeden etwas dabei sein.
Gitarren in weichen Intros mit kraftvollen
Beats findest du hier ebenso wie straighten
Full On, der sich langsam und schräg
in dein Hirn schraubt. (Kobold)
»Point of View«
V.A. (Dooflex) CD
001 by new label Dooflex, a sublabel from
Israel’s Doof Records offers the forum a
sound unusual for the Doof concept. Put
together by Blanka, this CD features pretty
progressive sounds with plenty of pressure.
Sadly not all the tracks find their
theme and tend to peter out after an
interesting start - lasting ten or twelve
minutes, some are simply too long. DJs
may make use of three certain tracks:
Number 4 from U-Recker with serious
pressure and vocals, a groovy tool from
Mind Complex (track 6) and a mystical
morning track at the end from Blanka.

Sublabel von Doof Records aus Israel.
Hiermit wollen die Jungs wohl dem Sound
ein Forum bieten, der bei Doof nicht so
ganz ins Konzept passt. Diese CD wurde
von Blanka zusammengestellt, der in
Kürze sein Album bei Dooflex veröffentlichen
wird, und featured recht progressiven,
druckvollen Nachtsound. Leider finden
nicht alle Tracks ihr Thema, lassen
nach meist interessantem Beginn doch
nach und finden halt nicht zwingend auf
den Punkt. Auch sind einige mit zehn oder
zwölf Minuten einfach zu lang. Für DJs finden
sich allerdings drei amtliche Tracks,
und so seien Nummer 4 von U-Recker mit
ordentlich Druck und Vocoder-Gesang, ein
groovendes Tool von Mind Complex (die
6) und besonders der Abschluss von
Blanka mit einem mystischen
Morningtrack lobend erwähnt. (Tulla)
Silent Sphere
»Mind Games« (Midijum) CD
At last! The
second album by
Silent Sphere has
appeared! And
expectations
were high after
an excellent
debut and heaps of live performances. I
was impressed from the start with this
powerful production of rare European
sounds that never sounded so »Israeli«.
Satisfying 16/4 bass grooves, varied and
pushing with wonderful breaks for those
»eyes closed and enjoy« moments - then
it’s hands up and party! Simon Weber
regrettably can’t hold this level constantly
and tends to get weaker after a stompin’
start and rock-trance co-operation with
Bim on track 2. Things pick up again with
»Neuland«, already well reviewed at
»Tantra Trance« and the 6th track picks
you right back up again with top class
jumpin’ music. »Breath« with raw female
vocals and plenty of sex is especially
impressive. A brilliant ambient track
rounds things off perfectly. A little more
courage in production would have resulted
in an outstanding album and the
mastering could have done with a touch
more »oomph«, but all in all, Simon will
