Keep items in a small pack, drawstring bag or duffel so everything is<br />

together <strong>and</strong> easy to grab!<br />

[ ] Battery-operat<strong>ed</strong> radio <strong>and</strong> extra batteries (or a h<strong>and</strong> crank radio)<br />

[ ] Copy of IT’S A DISASTER! manual<br />

[ ] <strong>Emergency</strong> blanket (small, cheap, & light - the size of a wallet)<br />

[ ] A few plastic trash bags with twist ties<br />

[ ] Mini flashlight, bulbs <strong>and</strong> batteries, or headlamp or h<strong>and</strong> crank unit<br />

[ ] Non-perishable foods like crackers, cookies, trail mix, granola bars,<br />

etc. (Ask children to help choosing food <strong>and</strong> make sure they underst<strong>and</strong><br />

this is for Emergencies!)<br />

[ ] Personal hygiene items (packet of tissues, moist towelettes, h<strong>and</strong><br />

sanitizer, comb, toothbrush, tampons, etc)<br />

[ ] Small First Aid kit (with disposable gloves <strong>and</strong> N95 face masks)<br />

[ ] Small stuff<strong>ed</strong> animal, book, or toy (for children)<br />

[ ] Sweatshirt or sweater (or a full change of clothes if enough room)<br />

[ ] Walkie-talkies (low cost set of FRS radios <strong>and</strong> store extra batteries)<br />
