8.5.4 Engine oil <strong>and</strong> filter replacement<br />
Replace the engine oil <strong>and</strong> its filter compliant to the maintenance schedule.<br />
1. Allow the engine to run for 5 minutes to warm up the engine oil.<br />
2. Switch off the engine.<br />
3. Open the rear cover.<br />
4. Dismantle the lower engine plate by undoing the screws <strong>and</strong> lifting it off.<br />
5. Place a suitable vessel below the drain.<br />
6. Unscrew the drain seal to allow the engine oil to flow off.<br />
7. Unscrew the engine oil filter with a suitable filter key.<br />
8. Dispose of the engine oil filter.<br />
9. Wipe the sealing surfaces on the filter head using a clean cloth.<br />
10. Make sure that the dust seal on the filter head is correctly located in the<br />
slots <strong>and</strong> is not damaged.<br />
11. Apply new engine oil to the seals ad the grooves of the engine filter.<br />
