8.5.5 Fuel filter replacement
1. Open the rear cover.
2. Clean around the fuel filter thoroughly..
3. Release and remove the holder of the line filter.
4. Mount the new line filter and tighten the holder.
5. Unplug the water sensor.
6. Loosen the drain seals and drain the fluid into a suitable container.
Note !
Release securing ring
Raise slightly when rotating the securing ring to allow it to be turned
more easily over the catch.
7. Turn the securing ring 1/4 rotation counterclockwise and remove the filter
insert.
8. Remove and empty the water collector.
9. Clean the filter base and the water collector.
10. Mount the new filter inserts with the securing ring. Turn the securing ring
clockwise 1/3 of a rotation until a clicking noise is heard indicating that it
has engaged. Make sure that the filter inserts are correctly aligned and
firmly seated on the base.
11. Mount of the engine oil filter.
12. Plug in the plug of the water sensor.
13. Bleed the fuel system as described on the next page.
Note !
Correctly position fuel filter
Straighten the fuel filters so that the slots and the mounting boss
line up.
