8.5.5 Fuel filter replacement<br />

1. Open the rear cover.<br />

2. Clean around the fuel filter thoroughly..<br />

3. Release <strong>and</strong> remove the holder of the line filter.<br />

4. Mount the new line filter <strong>and</strong> tighten the holder.<br />

5. Unplug the water sensor.<br />

6. Loosen the drain seals <strong>and</strong> drain the fluid into a suitable container.<br />

Note !<br />

Release securing ring<br />

Raise slightly when rotating the securing ring to allow it to be turned<br />

more easily over the catch.<br />

7. Turn the securing ring 1/4 rotation counterclockwise <strong>and</strong> remove the filter<br />

insert.<br />

8. Remove <strong>and</strong> empty the water collector.<br />

9. Clean the filter base <strong>and</strong> the water collector.<br />

10. Mount the new filter inserts with the securing ring. Turn the securing ring<br />

clockwise 1/3 of a rotation until a clicking noise is heard indicating that it<br />

has engaged. Make sure that the filter inserts are correctly aligned <strong>and</strong><br />

firmly seated on the base.<br />

11. Mount of the engine oil filter.<br />

12. Plug in the plug of the water sensor.<br />

13. Bleed the fuel system as described on the next page.<br />

Note !<br />

Correctly position fuel filter<br />

Straighten the fuel filters so that the slots <strong>and</strong> the mounting boss<br />

line up.<br />
