8.7 Gears<br />
8.7.1 Wheel hub<br />
The rear wheels are driven by two (four) hydrostatic wheel-hub drives filled with gear oil. The wheel-hub drives are<br />
equipped with an automatic parking brake that also runs in an oil bath. The brake is adjustment <strong>and</strong> maintenancefree.<br />
Oil level check: daily check for leaks <strong>and</strong> level check after 500 operating hours.<br />
Oil replacement: every 1000 operating hours or annually.<br />
1. Align the wheel as shown in the corresponding diagram to the left.<br />
2. Provide a suitable catch container.<br />
3. Remove the plug(s).<br />
4. Allow the gear oil to drain completely.<br />
5. Mount the plug(s).<br />
6. Align the wheel as shown in the corresponding diagram to the right.<br />
7. Fill gear oil at the top plug (A) until it runs up to the level plug (B).<br />
8. Mount the plug(s).<br />

Fast-filling the gear oil<br />
• Can result in damage to the drive mechanism.<br />
• Fill the gear oil slowly to avoid bubbles. This prevents incorrect<br />
measurements.<br />
