<strong>ANNUAL</strong> <strong>REPORT</strong>, <strong>2005</strong><br />
AA 1000 standard and uses recommendations of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The Company<br />
will issue such reports once every two years in the future.<br />
LUKOIL's efficiency in human resources management has won recognition outside the Company: the<br />
Main Personnel Division of LUKOIL was chosen as the winner of an All-Russian competition in <strong>2005</strong>,<br />
which compared the quality of personnel departments in Russian companies.<br />
SOCIAL POLICY AND CHARITY ACTIVITIES<br />
Social and charity programs are an integral part of the LUKOIL corporate strategy and help to further<br />
a constructive dialog with government, business and society. Such programs are carefully targeted<br />
and are based on the professional experience and human potential, which the Company has at its disposal<br />
in particular regions. Along with traditional forms of charity, LUKOIL is implementing strategic<br />
charity programs and social investments, which connect solution of social problems with the<br />
Company's strategic goals.<br />
Support for Children's Homes and Schools<br />
LUKOIL views helping children as a priority task, and includes it in all Company social initiatives: charity,<br />
sponsorship, sports programs aimed at children and young people, and cultural activities. The<br />
Company aims to achieve a balanced approach, helping children who are disadvantaged due to<br />
unfavourable family circumstances or health problems, but also helping children from secure family<br />
backgrounds to develop their abilities and talents.<br />
The Company itself and the LUKOIL Charity Fund provide help to more than 50 children's homes and<br />
boarding schools in all corners of Russia. The help is relevant to education, health, learning a profession<br />
and finding a place in life.<br />
