Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)<br />

Food & Beverage Service<br />

This Apprenticeship will help you to develop skills<br />

in a number of areas including Safe & Hygienic<br />

Working Practices, Food Service & Beverage<br />

Service Techniques and Customer Service Skills.<br />

The course is aimed at students working in the<br />

industry and will help you learn, develop and<br />

practice the skills required in a range of Hospitality<br />

environments. Through the course, you will<br />

also develop creative thinking, numerical and<br />

communication skills, as well as an understanding<br />

of employer rights and responsibilities.<br />

Entry Requirements<br />

You must have GCSE English and Maths at grade D and will need<br />

to pass an interview. You also need to be employed in the Food &<br />

Beverage Service sector or about to start an appropriate role.<br />

Career Prospects/Progression<br />

Successful completion of this course could allow you to take a<br />

Level 3 qualification, such as the Advanced Apprenticeship in<br />

Hospitality Supervision & Leadership, which would prepare you<br />

for employment in a supervisory role.<br />

Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)<br />

Hospitality Services<br />

This course is designed for students working in the<br />

Hospitality industry who have a variety of duties<br />

encompassing food production support, food<br />

and beverage service, housekeeping and general<br />

customer service. You can take units across a<br />

range of services, focussing on either a cooking<br />

or non-cooking pathway.<br />

Entry Requirements<br />

You need at least GCSE English and Maths at grade D. You will<br />

also need to pass an interview and to work in the Hospitality<br />

Services industry, or have the offer of appropriate employment.<br />

Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)<br />

Housekeeping<br />

The Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2) in<br />

Housekeeping is aimed at students currently<br />

working in the industry or about to accept work<br />

in the general Housekeeping environment.<br />

This course will help you to develop your skills<br />

in a number of key areas, including Cleaning<br />

& Maintaining Floors, Maintaining Supplies,<br />

Cleaning Windows, using Chemicals in<br />

Housekeeping and Customer Service.<br />

Entry Requirements<br />

You need at least grade D in GCSE English and Maths. You will<br />

also have to pass an interview and either be working or about to<br />

start work in the industry.<br />

Career Prospects/Progression<br />

Successful completion of this Apprenticeship could allow you<br />

to take a related Advanced course, such as the Hospitality<br />

Supervision & Leadership Apprenticeship, which is suitable for<br />

those working towards a supervisory position.<br />

Career Prospects/Progression<br />

If you successfully complete this qualification, you could progress<br />

to a Level 3 course, such as an Advanced Apprenticeship in<br />

Hospitality Supervision & Leadership, which would suit those<br />

looking to move into a supervisory role.<br />
