Travel & Tourism<br />
This one year course consists of six specialist<br />
mini-courses each focusing on a specific career<br />
area or skill set. The courses are all Level 2<br />
NCFE qualifications and include Air Cabin<br />
Crew, Event Planning, Resort Representatives,<br />
Introduction to the Passenger Shipping Industry,<br />
Employment Awareness in Active Leisure &<br />
Learning and Principles of Customer Service in<br />
Hospitality, Leisure, Travel & Tourism. Industry<br />
leaders BMI and Thomas Cook endorse the<br />
Air Cabin Crew qualification and guarantee an<br />
interview for students who complete it, while<br />
Thomas Cook similarly support the Resort<br />
Representatives course.<br />
Entry Requirements<br />
You need two GCSEs at C grade or above and a commitment<br />
to your studies.<br />
Course Expenses<br />
Trips and training days – approximately £150. Second year<br />
residential – Up to approximately £1000.<br />
Trips/Residentials<br />
There is a residential in year two.<br />
This course is designed to develop your understand<br />
of the Travel & Tourism industry to a higher level and<br />
will help you gain the skills and knowledge to work<br />
in the sector. The course focusses on helping you<br />
develop work-related skills through practical activities<br />
and classroom-based theory sessions. You may be<br />
required to complete a two week work placement.<br />
You will study a range of business and subject<br />
specific units for this course, which will assist you in<br />
both Travel & Tourism sectors.<br />

Language and a commitment to your studies.<br />

Career Prospects/Progression<br />
Upon completion of this course, you can either apply for<br />
employment in the Travel & Tourism industry or continue<br />
