This one year course consists of six specialist
mini-courses each focusing on a specific career
area or skill set. The courses are all Level 2
NCFE qualifications and include Air Cabin
Crew, Event Planning, Resort Representatives,
Introduction to the Passenger Shipping Industry,
Employment Awareness in Active Leisure &
Learning and Principles of Customer Service in
Hospitality, Leisure, Travel & Tourism. Industry
leaders BMI and Thomas Cook endorse the
Air Cabin Crew qualification and guarantee an
interview for students who complete it, while
Thomas Cook similarly support the Resort
Representatives course.
Entry Requirements
You need two GCSEs at C grade or above and a commitment
to your studies.
Course Expenses
Trips and training days – approximately £150. Second year
residential – Up to approximately £1000.
Trips/Residentials
There is a residential in year two.
This course is designed to develop your understand
of the Travel & Tourism industry to a higher level and
will help you gain the skills and knowledge to work
in the sector. The course focusses on helping you
develop work-related skills through practical activities
and classroom-based theory sessions. You may be
required to complete a two week work placement.
You will study a range of business and subject
specific units for this course, which will assist you in
both Travel & Tourism sectors.

Career Prospects/Progression
Upon completion of this course, you can either apply for
employment in the Travel & Tourism industry or continue
