LAMEs as a test flight resource<br />
Figure 79 records the rating of LAMEs as a test flight resource. This shows a<br />
relatively even distribution of ratings in each category of about 15 per cent. This<br />
seems to suggest that as a test flight resource, LAMEs have a mixed response. It is<br />
possible that LAMEs found helpful by people in this survey may also be pilots, who<br />
are familiar with evaluating <strong>aircraft</strong> in flight. Data from this survey does clarify this<br />
area.<br />

Aircraft associations as a test flight resource<br />
Figure 80 records the rating of <strong>aircraft</strong> associations as a test flight resource. This<br />
shows that about 80 per cent of people find <strong>aircraft</strong> associations helpful, very<br />
helpful or most helpful. It is significant that <strong>aircraft</strong> associations are seen as more<br />
helpful from a test flying perspective, than from a building perspective (Figure 70).<br />
For example, about 48 per cent of people found build resources very or most<br />
important, but about 62 per cent found <strong>aircraft</strong> association test flight resources<br />
helpful. The SAAA <strong>and</strong> RA-Aus associations have identified test flight as one of<br />
the important targets in a series of measures to ensure safe transition to flying<br />
operations.<br />

Regulator test flight resources<br />
Rating of the regulator as a test flight resource is found in Figure 81. Similar to<br />
ratings of build resources (Figure 71), the regulator was not seen as very helpful or<br />
