Logical Implications.<br />

It is highly improbable that the <strong>in</strong>itial aircraft collisions would cause an<br />

<strong>in</strong>stantaneous cascade of massive explosions to reach down to the sub-basement<br />

floors hundreds of feet away, separated by millions of tons of steel <strong>and</strong> concrete<br />

floors. It is also unlikely that the alleged massive runoff of jet-fuel dra<strong>in</strong>ed<br />

<strong>in</strong>stantly <strong>and</strong> ignited <strong>in</strong> a perfect air-fuel mixture down the elevator shafts as was<br />

given as a possible explanation. Liquid fuel would still have taken 15-20 seconds<br />

reach the basement levels at freefall speed with no resistance encountered <strong>in</strong> an<br />

empty elevator shaft, or from staggered elevator layouts. But elevator shafts are<br />

not empty; they conta<strong>in</strong> passenger or utility cars <strong>and</strong> would have slowed the fall<br />

of fuel to the lower levels.<br />

As was <strong>in</strong>dicated earlier, most of the jet-fuel was consumed upon impact <strong>in</strong> the<br />

widely witnessed <strong>and</strong> filmed exterior fireballs. Experts have <strong>in</strong>dicated that the jetfuel<br />

only lasted 10-15 m<strong>in</strong>utes of burn time due to its low flash po<strong>in</strong>t 75 , it ether<br />

burned rapidly, or it evaporated <strong>in</strong>to the air. If significantly less Jet-A fuel was<br />

available on the damaged impact floors to feed the fires because of a dra<strong>in</strong>age of<br />

an unknown volume of liquid fuel to the sub-basements, it is thereby unlikely<br />

that the rema<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g jet-fuel on the upper floors could have ever caused high<br />

temperatures to build <strong>in</strong> such a very short period of time (less than 1 hour for<br />

each tower) or that those modest fires could weaken or melt steel, or dra<strong>in</strong> to the<br />

lower floors <strong>and</strong> sub-basement floors, as the government contends. Burn<strong>in</strong>g fuel<br />

cannot be at two places at the same time. It is also clear from 100 years of history,<br />

<strong>and</strong> countless high rise fires that the st<strong>and</strong>ard contents of a high rise office<br />

build<strong>in</strong>g: build<strong>in</strong>g materials, furniture, papers, carpet<strong>in</strong>g, plastics, et al, are not<br />

enough to cause build<strong>in</strong>gs to spontaneously collapse <strong>and</strong> cause concrete to
