Türkiye bu projede sadece bir transit ülke<br />
konumunda değil, aynı zamanda gazın üretiminde<br />
de pay sahibi olan bir ülke. Hatta<br />
İngiliz Petrol Şirketi’nden (BP) sonra ikinci<br />
en büyük hissedar. Öte yandan BP de yine<br />
geçtiğimiz Mart ayında TANAP Ortaklar<br />
Anlaşması’nı imzalayarak bu projenin bir<br />
hissedarı haline geldi. Acar, TANAP iyi ve<br />
güçlü bir proje olduğu için BP’nin<br />
TANAP’a ortaklığının beklenen bir durum<br />
olduğunu söylüyor ve ekliyor: “Şah Deniz<br />
II’deki en büyük hisseye sahip olan ve<br />
Azerbaycan’ın da en stratejik yatırımcısı<br />
konumundaki BP’nin bu projenin gerçekleşmesinde<br />
elbette doğal bir çıkarı var.<br />
Dolayısıyla Güney Gaz Koridoru’nun hayata<br />

Küresel enerji jeopolitiği açısından stratejik<br />
önem taşıyan Güney Gaz Koridoru’nun en<br />
önemli halkası TANAP, gazın gazla rekabetine<br />
olanak sağlayan bir proje aynı zamanenergy<br />
need. This is an important development<br />
that will increase the current supply<br />
diversity of Turkey.” TANAP will increase<br />
the strategic importance of Turkey and<br />
Turkey’s efficiency in energy markets.<br />
Turkey will also have a voice in the energy<br />
market of Europe. On the other hand,<br />
Turkey has 30% share in TANAP and 19%<br />
share in the Shah Deniz gas basin. It means<br />
that Turkey is not only a transit country in<br />
this project but also a shareholder in natural<br />
gas production. Moreover, it is the second<br />
largest shareholder after the British<br />
Petroleum Company (BP). Last March, BP<br />
became a shareholder in this project by<br />
signing the TANAP Shareholder<br />
Agreement. Acar notes that BP’s becoming<br />
a partner to TANAP was quite expected as<br />
TANAP is a good and strong project. He say,<br />
“As the largest shareholder in Shah Deniz II<br />
and the most strategic investor in<br />
Azerbaijan, BP certainly has a natural benefit<br />
from the realization of this project.<br />
Accordingly, realization of the Southern Gas<br />
Corridor is a strategic issue for BP.”<br />
TURKEY BUYS THE CHEAPEST GAS FROM<br />
AZERBAIJAN<br />
TANAP is the most vital part of the<br />
Southern Gas Corridor which is a strategically<br />
important project for global energy<br />
geopolitics. It also clears the way for gasto-gas<br />
competition. The additional 6 billion<br />
cubic meters of gas which will be<br />
delivered to Turkey via TANAP will not<br />
