42 Parent Project is a highly regarded risk-focused prevention model specifically designed for parents of<br />
strong-willed or out of control children. It is used in 38 states and has been evaluated by the University of<br />
Tennessee. It is a l0 -16 week curriculum where parents receive specific step by step plans for intervening<br />
in destructive behaviors. Extensions of the project include an optional Teen curriculum and a Parent<br />
Project Jr. for children ages 5-10. <strong>The</strong> Parent Project training requires a sponsoring agency. <strong>The</strong> cost is<br />
$18,500 plus expenses for two trainers, and a Participant Material Fee ($100.00) per participant. <strong>The</strong><br />
maximum number of training participants that can be accommodated at any one time is 60.<br />
43 DCF estimates the cost of adding two full time <strong>FWSN</strong> liaisons to be $122,740.<br />
