Cash flow from financing activities<br />

The net cash used in financing activities improved significantly<br />

from minus CHF 57 million in 2009 to minus<br />

CHF 8 million in <strong>2010</strong>. The largest part of this improvement<br />

relates to the suspension of dividend payments in <strong>2010</strong>,<br />

based on the minimal net profit that the Group had generated<br />

in fiscal year 2009. Dividends paid in 2009 (for fiscal<br />

year 2008) amounted to CHF 45 million.<br />

During <strong>2010</strong>, in order to handle the significant growth in<br />

shipments, the Group increased the number of FTEs<br />

by 8 %, from 13,773 on December 31, 2009 to 14,876 on<br />

December 31, <strong>2010</strong>. The increase took place in all reporting<br />

regions, and was in proportion to the respective volume<br />
