All certificates and endorsements are to be received and approved by <strong>Eastern</strong><br />

<strong>Contra</strong> <strong>Costa</strong> <strong>Transit</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> before work commences. <strong>Eastern</strong> <strong>Contra</strong><br />

<strong>Costa</strong> <strong>Transit</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> reserves the right to require complete, certified copies<br />

of all required insurance policies, including endorsements affecting the<br />

coverage required by these specifications at any time.<br />

• Sub-<strong>Contra</strong>ctors. The <strong>Contra</strong>ctor shall include all sub-contractors as<br />

insureds under its policies or shall furnish separate certificates and<br />

endorsements for each sub-contractor. All coverages for sub-contractors<br />

shall be subject to all of the requirements stated herein.<br />

14. INSURANCE CERTIFICATES, RIDERS, STIPULATIONS<br />

Prior to commencement of work, the <strong>Contra</strong>ctor shall furnish original certificates of<br />

insurance showing a commencement date no later than the effective date of this<br />

Agreement and an expiration date no earlier than six (6) months after the effective date of<br />

this Agreement with the following endorsements and stipulations:<br />

15. ASSIGNMENT PROHIBITED<br />

• With respect to all coverages, a stipulation that the insurer<br />

will notify ECCTA no less than thirty (30) days prior to<br />

any change, termination or cancellation of the insurance<br />

policy or coverage’s provided under such policy.<br />

• With respect to the comprehensive general liability and<br />

automobile insurance certificates indicating that ECCTA,<br />

its directors, officers and employees are additional<br />

insured’s under said policies and that <strong>Contra</strong>ctor's policies<br />

are primary and no insurance of ECCTA shall be called<br />

upon to contribute to any loss up to the limits of<br />

<strong>Contra</strong>ctor's policy.<br />

• With respect to the comprehensive general liability and<br />

automobile insurance, cross-liability endorsements in form<br />

and content as are usually issued by the insurer and<br />

acceptable to ECCTA.<br />

Neither ECCTA nor <strong>Contra</strong>ctor may assign any right or obligation pursuant to this<br />

Agreement. Any attempted or purported assignment of any right or obligation hereunder<br />

shall be void and of no effect.<br />
