As part of his plea agreement, Perry will be considered a sexual predator and must serve 15 years of sex-offender
probation after his release from prison. He will be subjected to the "Jimmy Ryce Act," a law which allows for a sex
offender's involuntary commitment to a mental health facility for treatment if a panel of psychologists determine the
offender is still a risk to the community.
Perry must also pay money to a rape crisis fund, and to Crimes Against Minors.
While Perry could have faced life in prison if convicted, Assistant State Attorney Rich Buxman said the plea deal
saved the children the trauma of having to testify during a trial.
Child porn trial set
Philip Sellers goes to trial May 31, facing 56 counts of possessing child pornography.
Sellers, 30, of Crystal River, was arrested June 25 after investigators say they found 92 images of children engaged
in sexual activity on compact discs at his home.
Investigators say during an interview, he admitted to downloading the pictures from the Internet so that he could
view them later.
Man on trial in shooting case
Jury selection begins Monday for Daniel Sumners, charged with attempted murder after an early morning shooting
in November 2003.
Sumners, 20, of Lecanto, is accused of shooting Scott Bensing in the stomach and leg with a shotgun, following an
argument at his sister's home.
Though sheriff's investigators say Sumners fled the scene after the shooting, he turned himself in later that day.
He faces life in prison under the state's 10-20-Life gun law, which gives mandatory sentences for possessing a gun,
firing a gun or injuring a person with a gun while committing a crime.
The trial is expected to last two days.

A former child psychiatrist has been jailed for four years for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl after grooming
her on the internet.
Dr Julian Morrell, 42, travelled 300 miles from his London home to meet the teenager, from Gwynedd, north Wales.
Last year, Morrell pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child and to meeting a child following
sexual grooming.
He was struck off in April 2004 for looking at child porn on the internet.
Caernarfon Crown Court was told at an earlier hearing that Morrell had posed as a teenage boy to meet the girl in an
internet chatroom.

They exchanged several e-mails during the following month, before Morrell drove from his home in Ealing in west
