Concord - A former Londonderry man who admitted to buying and possessing child pornography videos was
sentenced Tuesday to 27 months in prison, federal prosecutors announced.
Daniel Aiken had pleaded guilty last year after an investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service revealed that
hed ordered videos from a known supplier of child pornography in 1998 and 1999. Investigators also found child
porn video clips on Aikens computer.
Aiken will remain under supervision for three years after he gets out of prison.

Georgetown - It is a disturbing trend in one part of Delmarva. The Georgetown police say they are now seeing at
least one case of child sexual abuse every week.
The police say they need the community's help to protect children.
"We need them to be cognizant of their surroundings," said Georgetown Det. Mike Marlow. "We need them to be
alert for the person who's hanging out around the daycare center, watching children or something of that nature."
The police say sexual predators target younger kids like infants and toddlers. But in the case of teenagers, victim
and abuser often know each other.

Richardson said, "It's often somebody they trust. An uncle, a grandfather a step relative, mom's boyfriend that's

their body, or they have an acute change in attitude. "They may become very withdrawn or may become very
aggressive, but it's a radical change," said Richardson.

can tell someone if they feel uncomfortable.
There are more than 1,900 registered sex offenders in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.
