molestation admission because Caporini believed his arrest was imminent.
Child pornography was found on Caporini's computer and another computer at a house he shared with fellow
students, according to county Assistant Prosecutor Jane Keenan. Caporini faces 75 years in prison if convicted as
charged.
The mother of the child testified during the sentencing hearing she was satisfied with the 20-year sentence. She said
her daughter has been in counseling and was afraid of facing Caporini during a trial.
"I'm sorry for what I have done," Caporini said prior to sentencing.

The man accused of murdering Jessica Rae DeLaTorre admitted to detectives that he raped, choked and beat the 8year-old
Sioux Falls girl, according to court papers.
In the documents, filed this week in Minnehaha County Circuit Court, Murray James Jones, 41, recounts for police
the events leading up to the discovery of Jessica's body April 9 at an abandoned farm near Fulton, about 65 miles
west of Sioux Falls.
"I did the wrong thing," Jones told a detective when informed that clothes belonging to Jessica had been found in a
trash bin near his house.
Jones said he had put his hands around Jessica's neck, according to the court papers. When she started making noise,
he "lost it" and began to hit and kick her all about the body, including the neck, the records show.
Preliminary autopsy results indicated Jessica died of "multiple incidents of blunt force trauma." The autopsy also
found evidence of sexual assault.
Jones is charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and first-degree rape. He is being held without bond in the
Minnehaha County Jail.
Jones is the boyfriend of Jessica's grandmother, Norma Carver. The two have lived together for two years at 204 N.
Primose Place.
According to the court documents, Carver was not home April 8 because she had gone to Avera McKennan Hospital
to take part in an overnight sleep study. That left Jones to care for Jessica and her two brothers, who were spending
the night.
The affidavit in support of a search warrant provides the following account, based on Jones' interviews with police:
After midnight, Jones took Jessica, who had been sleeping, and drove his 1989 Chevrolet Caprice station wagon
west on Interstate 90 for about 50 miles. He went north, past Highway 38, to a gravel road and through a field.
When asked whether he raped Jessica, Jones said yes, adding that she was awake during the sexual assault and
struggled with him.
Jones said he left her in the field. He grabbed her shorts and a blanket that had a trace of blood on it and drove back
to Sioux Falls, where he threw the shorts in the Dumpster across the street from his home.
He put the blanket in the washer, did some work on the computer, took a shower and went to bed.
