The judge, however, did see some images of the teenage girl in the shower.
Mr Murphy told the court that the teenage girl spied on by Duncan accidentally found one of the video tapes and
pulled the cassette apart in anger.
She then called her mother, who discovered a mirror tile on the bathroom wall facing the shower and wiring for
camera equipment behind it.
Police later seized five computers belonging to Duncan, one of which contained the massive haul of child porn on
its hard drive. Duncan, now unemployed and living in Kirkcaldy, Fife, admitted two computer porn charges and
recording secret pictures of the girl between 1999 and 2003.
Pleas of not guilty to recording covert pictures of another four girls were accepted by the Crown.Duncan also had a
plea of not guilty accepted to a lewd and libidinous practices charge.
The court was told that detectives discovered Duncan had doctored some of the photos in his possession.
He had also joined an internet paedophile news group from which he had downloaded porn.
The court was told that there was no suggestion he had circulated images of the girl in the shower around other
perverts using the group.
Lord McFadyen called for a risk assessment report on Duncan.
He set a sentencing date for June and extended Duncan's bail until that date

Women having sex with minors are now just as accountable as men after the passing of the Crimes Amendment
Bill.
The legislation means women can be prosecuted alongside men for having sex with an under 16-year-old, but the
definition of rape remains strictly a man against woman offence.
Justice Minister Phil Goff is pleased the bill received an overwhelming majority of support with 89 MPs voting in
favour.
He says only the National Party voted against it and even it conceded the bill made progress.
A penalty has also been introduced for paedophiles grooming children for sexual activity.

A Christchurch businessman was horrified to discover that a convicted child rapist had applied for a job at his firm
as a car groomer, his CV disguising his detention at a mental hospital as "work experience".
"I think it's absolutely disgusting," Ray Dyer, from Hopmans QEII Quality Cars, said.
