CANopen port
All Modicon M258 logic controllers type S include a 9-way male SUB-D CANopen
port and act as the CANopen master.
The bus consists of a master station, M258 logic controller type S and slave stations.
The master is in charge of configuration, exchanges and diagnostics to the slaves.
The CANopen bus is a communication bus and is used to manage a variety of
slaves, such as:
bbDigital slaves
bbAnalog slaves
bbVariable speed drives
bbMotor starters
bbEtc.
