8. Downloading the WLIN AS-1 2003.zip seismic data (and 2004 and 2005):
Download the 2003.zip file to provide sample seismic data for AmaSeis (you do not need to have
an AS-1 seismograph to utilize these data, only the AmaSeis software). The file is zipped
(compressed). The 2003 folder contains data recorded at the WLIN AS-1 seismograph station for
September, 2003 and is about 15 MB in size (data for the following dates have been deleted to make
the file easier to download: September 1, 3, 9-12, 14-17, 20, 23, 24, 26, and 28 – no significant
events were recorded on those dates). Data are also available for the WLIN station for selected
days in 2004 (November and December, 2004 [including the December 26, 2004 M9.0 Sumatra
earthquake], only days with events, ~17MB) and 2005 (March through September, 2005, only days
with events, ~46MB). An Excel file (the station catalog for AS-1 station WLIN with information
on the earthquakes in the 2003.zip, 2004.zip and 2005.zip data sets) is also available at:
