Greenbelt Conservancy elects new board membersPublished: Friday, January 21, 2011, 8:18 AMBy Staten Island AdvanceSTATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - The GreenbeltConservancy recently elected four new boardmembers to its 19-member volunteer board ofdirectors.James Dev<strong>in</strong>e is president and CEO of GlobalConta<strong>in</strong>er Term<strong>in</strong>als USA and is responsible for <strong>the</strong>DEVINEoperation of New York Conta<strong>in</strong>er Term<strong>in</strong>al <strong>in</strong>KUSICKMar<strong>in</strong>ers Harbor. He is chairman of <strong>the</strong> NobleMaritime Museum; a board member of <strong>the</strong> board of South Street Seaport Museum and a director of GreaterNew York Councils, Boy Scouts of America.Monique Kusick is a project director for <strong>the</strong> New York Academy of Medic<strong>in</strong>e <strong>in</strong> Harlem. She is a longtimevolunteer Scout leader who has led hikes along <strong>the</strong> Greenbelt trail system. She has also participated <strong>in</strong> manyhigh adventure Scout treks <strong>in</strong> New Mexico, Florida and <strong>the</strong> Appalachian Trail.Deborah Popper teaches geography at <strong>the</strong> Collegeof Staten Island and Graduate Center of <strong>the</strong> CityUniversity of New York (CUNY). She also teachesas a visit<strong>in</strong>g professor at Pr<strong>in</strong>ceton University'sEnvironmental Institute. Dr. Popper is director ofCUNY's Macaulay Honors College at <strong>the</strong> College ofStaten Island.POPPERVOGTMark Vogt is a property and f<strong>in</strong>ancial manager forMorgan Stanley Realty. He is also a consult<strong>in</strong>g meteorologist who has workedas a forensic meteorologist to recreate past wea<strong>the</strong>r situations for trial presentations and private <strong>in</strong>dustry.Greenbelt Conservancy officers for 2011 are: Kathleen E.
