Children under 10will be admitted free. The cost for adults is$5.SI350 beg<strong>in</strong>s a yearlong celebration this week.On Wednesday, <strong>the</strong> Staten Island Museum<strong>in</strong> St. George will host "Meet <strong>the</strong> ExhibitDesigners: New Staten Island Ferry Display" at 7 p.m.A photo exibit, "Go<strong>in</strong>g Places: Transportation <strong>in</strong> Pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>gs and Photos," featur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> work of RobertPadovano and Mary L. Bullock -- and funded by Consolidated Edison -- opens on Thursday at 6 p.m. <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong>library rotunda at <strong>the</strong> College of Staten Island. It runs through Feb. 20.Patricia Salmon, curator of <strong>the</strong> Staten Island Museum, will lead a talk on <strong>the</strong> exhibit "The Staten IslandFerry: The First 100 Years of Municipal Service" on Jan. 22 at 1:30 p.m. Artifacts, such as change mach<strong>in</strong>es,tickets, badges and models, are on display.A ride on <strong>the</strong> boat will follow <strong>the</strong> lecture. Sites along <strong>the</strong> route, such as <strong>the</strong> Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island andGovernor's Island, will be discussed. The cost is $10.
