(concentration = 0) to highest (concentration = 8). Data on resource factor concentrationsare labeled “Statewide,” include all lands in the State whether developed or not, and datalabeled “Undeveloped/Unprotected Land,” cover just the portion of the State determinedto be uncommitted or available land.Land Intensity Potential ClassificationThe Land Intensity Potential Classification part of the geographic analysis examined theinfluence of the eight suitability factors in combination with the proximity toinfrastructure factors to assign a Land Intensity Potential Category to land. The intentwas to determine a general level of development intensity that could be sustained, basedupon a combination of natural and built factors.Five generalized land intensity potential categories were defined by the StatewidePlanning Program's staff after study of the results of the Suitability Analysis, review ofthe methodology used in the prior (1989) State Land Use and Policies Plan, and inputfrom the State Planning Council’s Technical Committee. Additional information used inthe assignment of intensity potentials is found in Technical Appendix D.Resource LayersTable 121-04(4)LAND SUITABILITY ANALYSIS:CONCENTRATION OF RESOURCEFACTORS/CONSTRAINTSAcres*% ofStateArea*Statewide (all land)Acres*% ofStateArea*Undeveloped/unprotected landConcentration = 0 90,000 13 10,500 1Concentration = 1 167,000 24 77,400 11Concentration = 2 221,000 32 132,600 19Concentration = 3 154,000 23 97,400 14Concentration = 4 54,000 8 33,400 5Concentration = 5 13,000 2 8,700 1Concentration = 6 1,700
