Chocolatier Jean Galler on creating a unique collection<br />
especially for the Middle East.<br />

Couture is just as fitting for contemporary chocolate as it is for fashion. With impresarios such as Belgian<br />
chocolatier Jean Galler leading the way, the art of making these mini-morsels of heaven continues to evolve.<br />
Galler owns a chain of what he calls Chocolat-Thé’s across the UAE, which combine the elegance and<br />
refinement of a tearoom with an irresistible chocolate counter. “Three years ago when I opened, there were not<br />
so many chocolate makers in the UAE. It was very exciting for us to be here and have the pleasure to see people<br />
appreciate our chocolates”, says Galler.<br />
“In Belgium we don’t have wrapped chocolates, and we’ve seen it is a tradition in the Middle East. So we’ve<br />
created a special range of 14 different, wrapped chocolates, as well as a range of packaging because people in<br />
the UAE like to offer beautiful trays or hampers with a wide variety of chocolates. Then, we have created trays<br />
and hampers in brown leather especially for the Middle East market”.<br />
