METALS CASE NARRATIVE
The following is a summary of the QC results accomp anying the sample results. Lionville Laborato ry
(LvLI) certi fi
es that all test results meet the requirements of NELAC except as noted below.
All soil samples are repo rted on a dry weight basis unless requested by the client, required by the method,
or noted otherwise.
This narrative covers the analyses of 15 solid samples.
2. The samples were prepared and analyzed in accordance with methods checked on the attached
glossary. The samples are reported on a wet weight, `as received' basis.
All samples were rerun for Aluminum, Be ryllium, and Copper, along with the Phosphorous
analysis, due to sample matrix. The matrix spike of sample J11KK8, and samples J1 1L21 and
J11L23 were rerun for Phosphorous due to high concen trations.
3. All analyses were performed within the required holding ti mes.
4. All Ini ti al and Con ti nuing Calibration Verifications (ICV/CCVs) were within the 90-110% con trol
limits (80-120% for Mercury).
5. All Ini tial and Continuing Calibration Blanks (ICB/CCBs) were within con trol limits (less than the
PQL).
6. The preparation/method blanks for 2 analytes were outside method c riteria (less than the Prac ti cal
Quantitation Limit (3X the IDL), or samples greater than 20X MB value). Refer to the Inorganics
Method Blank Data Summary .
a). The MB results for Aluminum and Uranium were greater than the Prac ti cal Quantitation Limit
(PQL) (3 x the (IDL) Instrument Detection Level) and al l samples read less than 20 ti mes the MB
concentration for Aluminum. However, no corrective ac ti on criteria for MBs were provided in
SW846 method 6010B. The sample results were repo rted herein "uncorrected" for the levels
found in the MB. All samples were below the IDL for Uranium.
All ICP Interference Check Standards were within con trol limits.
