We are at our best for God when we are at optimum health. Our vision must be to see everyone who is placed in-­‐country flourishing for God in that location. When I think of a servant going well for a long time in the hard places, here is the picture I have in mind, “He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.” 12 This is the picture we must aim for as we recruit, prepare and place our people in hard places. The servants who last the distance in difficult locations are those who remain healthy, well-­‐planted, fruitful and winsome.12 Psalm 1:3 134
