St Francis Magazine Vol 8, No 2 | April 2012 The Country Team Leader, in consultation with the Country Leadership Team and with the agreement of the Regional Director, will make the decision as to what the current code is for their country or a particular region/city in that country. The following codes for Security Levels, and guidelines, are used in every country. However, each country and Joint Mission Agency will bring together its own Emergency Action Plan guidelines that should be consulted and followed along with this document. When notifying Partners, the International Office and National Offices of the Security Level in a country, or part of a country, one of the following colours will be given and that will be sufficient to inform of the severity of the emergency. Please see L2S for listing of countries that are at this time either Yellow, Red or Black codes. GREEN: Normal Caution. Life is running normally with no greater than usual personal risk. 1. Follow the usual precautions in the country for living and working. 2. Review the full EAP from time to time with your Country Team Leader. 3. Review the EAP form time to time with family members and your National Office. 4. Ensure your passport and residency/visa papers are accessible and in date, and you have photocopies of such. 5. Ensure you have access to cash in the event of an emergency – enough to cover air tickets if necessary. If possible, have a credit card with you. Bear in mind that in an emergency availability of funds will be limited. 6. Ensure the Personal Guidance form has been completed and updated (this should be done annually) -‐ each family and individual Partner needs to complete this in consultation with the Country Team Leader.
