Power SwitchPress to turn the unit on or off.As the unit shuts down,it saves any setup data you may have changed.2.Alphanumeric LED displayThis 15 segment LED display shows the current presetnumber whenever the EDIT and SETUP buttons arenot lit. There are dots on the bottom line indicatingwhether the current preset is in the Factory or Userbank. The legend below the display indicates which dotrepresents which bank. When you press the EDIT orSETUP buttons, this display shows a letter and anumber making up the address of the current editscreen.3. Metering LED displaysThere are several conditions indicated by these LEDsand they are described in the following paragraphs.Output ClipThis LED will light showing the output of the producthas clipped due to internal level overload, possiblycausing audible distortion. This LED can light eventhough the Input Clip LED has not. This is becauseVoiceWorksPlus has effect blocks such as Harmony forexample, that can potentially add significant level to theinput signal.Input ClipSteady flickering of this LED with audio input showsthat the level of the signal received at the input toVoiceWorksPlus is too high given the input sensitivitysetting. To correct this, reduce the send level toVoiceWorksPlus from the upstream mixer or enter theSetup menu to reduce the LineSens (Line inputsensitivity).Input LED StackThese LEDs allow you to gauge how much level tosend to VoiceWorksPlus from your mixer. They usePPM (Peak Program Meter) weighting which is a way toview signal level when using digital processors. Therange shows logarithmic steps down from 0 dB whichis the maximum allowable level. It's important to adjustthe send level from your mixer within the proper rangeshown by these meters. Sending too little audio signallevel contributes to noise buildup and unsatisfactoryperformance of the voice algorithms. Too much inputsignal level causes distortion. If your mixer is sendingits maximum level and these meters show insufficientlevel, or vice versa, you can adjust the Input Sensitivitysetting by pressing the SETUP button and entering theSetup menu.MIDI IN indicator LEDThis will light to confirm the MIDI data is received byVoiceWorksPlus on the correct MIDI channel. Toensure that it will respond correctly to the incomingdata, check to see that both your sending device andVoiceWorksPlus are set to the same MIDI channel.4. Main LCD displayDuring normal operation (none of the EDIT, SETUP orSTORE buttons are pressed), this display shows thename of the current preset on the top line and themain harmony or modeling parameter values on thelower line. A slight turn of any of the soft knobs willchange the display to show master mix levels. Whilethe mix levels are shown, the four soft knobs allowediting of the mix.After a few seconds the display willrevert to preset name. After the EDIT, SETUP orSTORE buttons have been pressed, this display showsup to four editing parameters on the top line and theirassociated values on the bottom. After a parametervalue has been changed, an asterisk (*) will be shownto the left of the name when you return to normaloperation. This is to warn that you will lose anychanges should you recall another preset unless it issaved first.5
