8.8.2 Burner safety check
- With the burner lit, cut off the gas supply by closing
the shut-off valve.
- Check the reaction of the safety system:
the alarm indicator C should turn on and the display
A should alternately indicate and .
- Open the gas valve and press the reset button D.
8.8.3 Safety thermostat check
The safety thermostat should shut down the boiler if
the temperature at the central heating outlet exceeds
105°C.
- Press the “clean” button E for 5 seconds. The dis-
play A shows .
- Press button E briefly. The display A shows .
- Press button E a third time for 5 seconds. This
forces the burner to minimum output and the display
A indicates alternately and the original temperature.
- Close the central heating flow and return valves 1 and
5 using an 8 mm wrench.
The outlet temperature is no longer limited by the
control system and the safety thermostat should shut
down the burner.
When the temperature exceeds 100°C and the safety
thermostat has not yet tripped, the display indicates
alternately and .
If the burner is turned off, the boiler cools and shortly
afterwards the burner is ignited again and the rise
in temperature continues:
- when the burner is shut off by the safety thermostat:
• indicator C turns on
• the display alternately indicates and .
- To restart the burner:
• open central heating flow and return valves 1
and 5
• press button D.
