08 P1How can we plan for facilitative training activities?ObjectiveTo raise participants awareness of the planning stages for any INSET activity.Time40 minutesMaterialsHO P1.1Planning Facilitative Sessions; Session plans for BC1, BC2 andBC3.Task & OrganisationInput for task: HO 08 P1.1 – ‘Planning Facilitative Sessions’; Session Plans.1.1 (5 minutes – plenary) When the participants return to their schools they will beexpected to carry out sessions with the teachers in their schools. If these are totake place in a way that facilitates professional development it is important thatthey are well planned. Ask participants to reflect on the areas they looked at in theprevious session, i.e. task and feedback. Discuss what other areas need to beplanned.1.2 (10 minutes – groups) Give out HO 08 P1.1 - ‘Planning Facilitative Sessions’ andthe session plans for BC1, BC2 and BC3. Ask participants to link the areas of thecycle diagram with the session plans.
