CHAPTER 5 FUNCTIONSCopies can be sorted into the required number of sets by storingNOTEoriginal images in the memory before performing copying.* Sort copying requires the optional memory board.If “Sort ON” is selected for “Output mode” (see page 6-6) the sortindicator is lit and the copier is in the sort mode. If “Sort OFF” isselected, press the sort key to light the indicator. If originals are set inthe optional DF, the Sort indicator lights and the copier enters the sortmode.Enter the number of copies to be made and press the Start3key.* When originals are set in the DF, all originals are scannedone by one and copying performed accordingly.* When setting the originals on the platen, “1” (number ofscanned originals) will be displayed after the first original isNOTEscanned. Replace the original and press the Start key.Repeat the same procedure for all the originals to beRotate sortcopied.If “ON” is selected for “Rotate sort” (see page 6-6) and A4 or B5 paperis used, the orientation of each set of copies can be changed for easysorting. To use this setting, A4 or B5 paper must be set in the copierdrawer and an optional drawer.When scanning of all the originals ends, press the enter key4Set the original(s).or Sort key. Copying will start.12 Press the Sort key to light the indicator.Even if the orientation of the original is different from that of paper inthe drawer, copying will be performed by rotating the image 90degrees counter-clockwise. No setting is required for this function.* Rotate copying requires the optional memory board.NOTE9 The sizes of the original and copy paper available for rotate copyingin the auto paper selection mode are limited to A4, A4R, B5 andB5R.The sizes of the copy paper available for rotate copying in the auto•magnification selection mode are limited to A4, A4R, A5R, B5 andB5R.
