CHAPTER 8 WHEN A PROBLEM OCCURSWhen any of the indications listed in the table below appears on the operation panel, take the corrective action as instructed.Indication“c” and a number alternate on the copyquantity display.ActionTurn the main switch ON and OFF. If the same indication appears again,contact your service representative.Page“OF” appears on the copy quantity display.• There are 250 sheets of paper stored in the copy store section. Remove thepaper and resume copying.• If the optional job separator is installed, there are 150 sheets of paper storedin the copy store section. Remove the paper and resume copying.• There are 100 sheets of paper stored on the optional job separator. Removethe paper and resume copying.4-27-37-3The Add Toner indicator lights.Copying is still possible for some time with the indicator lit but it will eventuallybe disabled. Replace the toner cartridge as soon as possible.3-5“AP” appears on the copy quantity display.Toner is being replenished inside the copier. Wait a few minutes.The Toner Disposal indicator lights.The waste toner tank needs to be replaced. Replace the waste toner tank (thewaste toner tank is supplied with the toner cartridge).3-5The Toner Disposal indicator flashes.No waste toner tank is set. Set one in the specified location. Copying will notbe enabled until a waste toner tank is set.3-5“U1” appears on the copy quantity display.Insert the key counter securely.7-3
