14-74 Chapter 4: Hardware ServiceClearing the Password586 Processor BoardIf the password must be cleared on a 586 processor board:1. Turn the power off.2. Remove the Cover.3. Depending on the board, either:a. Use a small screwdriver (or a suitable conductive tool) to shortpin 1 of U56 to ground next to U56 (as shown below), orb. Short across R91A above U56.Lithium BatteryU56Pin 1GND154444. Reassemble the workstation and turn the power on.5. Reset the CMOS memory and the password.
