4-10 Chapter 4: Hardware ServiceRemoving the FanThere are two types of fans installed in a <strong>7453</strong> workstation includingone that requires "squeezing" the sides and one that is mounted withslip plugs.To remove the "squeeze" fan:1. Pull the fan away from the chassis by squeezing the sides of the fan.2. Unplug the fan's cable from either the processor fan harness or theControl Panel Board connector.FanTo remove the slip-plug mounted fan:1. Remove the four screws that secure the front panel to the chassis.2. Remove the four slip plugs that secure the fan to the chassis.15134a3.
